Mezzo soprano Cecilia Lam finds a
fulfilling home in the San Francisco Bay Area choral world.
She sings currently with the eight-member early music
ensemble Chalice Consort under renowned San Francisco
Symphony Chorus director Ragnar Bohlin, as well as the ASCAP
award-winning contemporary music ensembles Volti, directed
by Robert Geary, and International Orange Chorale, directed
by Zane Fiala. In the past Cecilia has also sung with
Pacific Collegium, Artists’ Vocal Ensemble, Schola Cantorum,
and the San Francisco Festival Chorale.
In addition to singing in vocal
ensembles, Cecilia has played piano since the age of four
and currently enjoys bringing friends together to explore
piano quartet repertoire. She holds an MS/MBA from
Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts from
Wellesley College, where she studied voice with Sally
Sanford and piano with Jenny Tang.
Cecilia is incredibly honored to be
singing with Charites this year and thinks all the long
cross-country flights are worth the joy of singing such
beautiful music with such accomplished musicians.
